Information we receive
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or Telegram, we receive the name or profile name, phone number, messages, lock photos, fault details and call-out address you provide. Carrying out an order may require billing details and information confirming your right to access the property or vehicle. We request only what is needed for the particular enquiry.
The website has no customer account, order form or file upload. It does not receive or store your photos. However, the company processes photos sent to the locksmith through a messenger to assess and carry out your order. Send only the relevant part of the lock or door and, where possible, exclude faces, documents, access codes and other unnecessary information. Photos are optional: you can describe the situation by phone.
Purposes and lawful bases
Responding to enquiries, estimating a price, arranging a call-out and completing an order are steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and performance of that contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Without necessary contact details, a description of the task or the address, we may be unable to provide a quote or attend the location.
Preparing and retaining mandatory accounting documents fulfils legal obligations (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)). Checking lawful access, preventing misuse, protecting the website and defending legal claims serve our legitimate interests, taking your rights into account (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use enquiries or photos for advertising or publish them without a separate lawful basis. If consent is requested for a particular additional use, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Visiting the website does not itself constitute consent to optional processing.
Hosting and technical information
Vercel Inc. hosts the public website. When you open a page, the provider receives technical information needed to deliver and protect the site: IP address, request time and URL, browser and device information, and error data. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in an available and secure website.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or advertising pixels, create visitor profiles or request camera or location access. Fonts and photos are served by the website. The page address determines the language. The website application does not set analytics or advertising cookies or store your language choice in the browser. The hosting service may use necessary technical safeguards against abuse.
Who can receive information
Enquiry information is available to the locksmith and authorised company personnel as needed for their work. Where necessary, payment document details may be shared with an accountant, and information about a dispute with a legal adviser or competent authority on a lawful basis. We do not sell personal data.
Vercel and its subprocessors provide hosting and website protection. Selecting WhatsApp or Telegram takes you to an external service. The messaging provider processes data under its own policies, while the company is responsible for using the messages it receives for your order. These links do not automatically send a photo. You can call us instead of using a messenger.
Transfers outside the EEA
Vercel and your chosen messaging service may use infrastructure that processes data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers made on our behalf rely on safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Links to Vercel’s terms and the messaging services’ policies appear below. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards and how to obtain a copy. We do not claim that all processing is confined to Latvia or the EU.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted from the working correspondence available to us no later than 90 days after the last substantive message. Photos used for an initial assessment that are no longer needed for an order are deleted from working chats and separately saved copies no later than 30 days after the enquiry is closed or the work is completed.
Necessary completed-order records are retained while obligations are being fulfilled and for the applicable warranty and legal claims periods; if a dispute arises, until its final resolution. Accounting and tax documents are retained for the periods required by law. These grounds may require individual relevant messages or photos to be kept longer than the ordinary periods above.
Hosting logs are retained within the provider’s settings and retention arrangements for service operation, diagnosis and security; incident data may be kept until an investigation or defence of claims is complete. We do not maintain a separate website visit archive. Deletion from our working correspondence does not mean immediate deletion of copies held by you, a provider or in backups: the corresponding retention and deletion cycles apply. Contact us to clarify the period for a particular category of data.
Your rights and contacting us
Where provided for by the GDPR, you may request access to and a copy of your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent you have given. Erasure may be limited by legal record-keeping requirements or the need to defend rights.
Contact us using the phone number above, the same WhatsApp or Telegram chat, or a written request sent to the registered legal address. Identify the enquiry or order concerned. If there are reasonable doubts about your identity, we may request the minimum additional information needed to verify it; do not send a passport copy unnecessarily.
We respond without undue delay, normally within one month of receiving your request. Complex requests may require up to two additional months; we will explain the extension within the first month. Requests are generally handled free of charge.
You can complain to Datu valsts inspekcija (the Latvian Data State Inspectorate), www.dvi.gov.lv, or the supervisory authority where you habitually live, work or believe an infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us before making a complaint.
Automated decisions and updates
We do not make decisions about customers solely by automated means or use profiling. The locksmith assesses the price and whether the work can be carried out. We update this page when services or processing practices change; the revision date is shown above.
